Kent Schools Foundation Supports Student Success with Record-Setting Grants
We are thrilled to announce that Kent Schools Foundation awarded a record-breaking $98,000 in classroom innovation grants to 162 projects at 39 schools across the Kent School District in 2025.
This milestone surpasses our previous record of $67,000 awarded to 131 projects at 35 schools — a testament to the growing generosity of our community and the incredible creativity of Kent educators.
What These Grants Fund
Classroom Innovation Grants empower Kent School District teachers to bring ideas to life that go beyond standard district budgets. This year's projects included:
- STEM enrichment labs with hands-on science equipment
- Arts integration programs connecting visual arts to core curriculum
- Social-emotional learning workshops and resources
- Outdoor learning gardens at elementary schools
- Technology tools for project-based learning

Applications for the next grant cycle open in March. Any certified teacher or administrator in the Kent School District is eligible to apply.
